    Get PDF
The world is on the cusp of a new communications revolution. The next generation of communication networks, known as 6G, will enable a wide range of new applications and services that are not possible with current 4G or 5G networks. In overview, we will review Artificial Intelligence (AI) Types, Advantages, challenges and some of the most promising applications of 6G technology. Some of the key applications that are being developed for 6G communication networks include Digital Twin (DT), Holograms, Robot Avatar, High Density (IoT), and AR & VR. The use of these applications in 6G communication networks is not a new concept, but integration to 6G will need more improvements. These applications have been around for some time now and have seen various improvements over the years. However, with the advent of 6G communication networks, the use of AR and VR is expected to see a drastic change. This paper contributes to the existing literature about the nature of 6G and applications to give more understanding and further discussion in potential and new trends

Applying Information Technology-Based Knowledge Management (KM) Simulation in the Airline Industry

    Get PDF
In previous studies, some of the KM enablers documented include leadership operations in the form of a KM officer, financial aspects, and the organizational culture. On the other hand, the major barrier involves resistance to change due to the traditional culture emphasizing socialization and the establishment of trust before fostering business operations. From the gap analysis, some of the strategies that the Emirates Group could embrace include investing more in training sessions and workshops, designing the KM program in a manner that enables it to protect tacit knowledge from loss, and engaging in virtual team formation to foster an awareness of the value lying in KM program support. In so doing, it is projected that the company’s employee operations will be closely linked or aligned to the leading goals and objectives, upon which desirable degrees of productivity and competitiveness might be achieved. This paper has examined the aspect of knowledge management by gaining specific insights from the context of the Emirates Group. Whereas KM at the firm level comes in the form of articles presentations, reports and memos, group levels have seen KM emerge via an operational information system responsible for guiding the airline company’s daily operations. On the other hand, individual-level KM at this company exists in terms of the exRez software through which travelers can add destination activities, car rentals and hotel rooms to their flights, a process that occurs during online booking. In the future, there is a need for the company to remove the aforementioned barriers or obstacles perceived to stall progress, including organizational silos that are documented to set teams and individuals apart; besides hindering problem identification and solving on a collaborative basis

Impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on different settings of learning process in developing countries

Information and communication technology have changed the traditional learning approaches to modern and interactive environment. ICTs are the keys of the revolution in education. ICTs in this study were divided into five parts: theory and practice, infrastructure, techniques and methods, devices and tools and educational applications. Learning process were examined in three different levels which are: Secondary schools, undergraduate and postgraduate. This study included main objective which is: analysis the impact of ICT on learning process in different settings of learning in developing countries. Applications of ICT have been explained as part of this study. Quantitative method (surveys) was used in this study. Participants of this study were 144 students of high school (junior and senior levels), 155 students of undergraduate level and 137 of postgraduate were selected randomly. Data were analyzed by SPSS for different surveys. The results of this study were: ICT have positive and significant impact on learning process in high school. ICT factors have positive and significant impact on learning process in undergraduate and postgraduate level except devices and tools of ICT was negative in undergraduate level and insignificant in both levels. In addition to Techniques and methods of undergraduate level was positive but insignificant and infrastructure of higher education was insignificant as well. There is a positive relationship between using of ICT and learning process. Usage and benefits of using ICT applications is more effective in higher levels of education related to many factors such as: policies of learning, difference of abilities, capacity of absorption, specification of studies, extent of need and complexity

Analysis of the dominant motivation factors of reading Arabic text for students at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim

This study’s justification is to analyze the dominant elements of the motivation for students learning to read Arabic text. This study uses a quantitative approach with a procedure using factor analysis. All data were tested for homogeneity, validity and reliability. First, the data were collected through a validated questionnaire with a sample size of 97 respondents. The motivation to read Arabic text as the dependent variable (y) is influenced by ten independent variables (xi). From the factor analysis, it was obtained four groupings of independent variables which were labeled: Free – Bound - Interpretation Factor, Free - Permanent-Interpretation Factor, Socio - Cultural factor, and Permanent - Free Factor. The most dominant group of independent variables is the Free-Bound-Interpretation Factors group, namely reading Arabic-language printed media, reading al-Qur'an verses, reading classical religious books in Arabic

Eidos System Prediction of Myopia in Children in Early Education Stages

    Get PDF
This study used a database containing factors that, when processed using the Eidos intellectual system, detect myopia in children of primary school age. The database includes parameters that take into account the properties of the visual system, as well as factors that determine the duration of the performance of the main functions of the cognitive and entertaining nature of the students. The results obtained allow us to determine those factors that are more conducive to the appearance of myopia. The negative impact of some factors that cause myopia can be removed, such as, limiting the screen time spent, increasing outdoor activities/sports. A retrospective training sample can be used for automated processing using the Eidos intellectual system of the results obtained during the preventive examination of schoolchildren by an ophthalmologist. Early intervention towards myopia management in students, improves the chances of maintaining vision and slows myopia progression. The contribution of this research includes factors of a social nature that could be influenced at school in the process of education, increasing the attention towards childent, awareness of maintaining vision and slows down the progression of myopia

Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies have revolutionized learning approaches through immersive digital experience, interactive environment, simulation and engagement. Yet, these technologies are in developing stage and require massive investment and mass customization to meet the high demand in education. This comprehensive review aims to frame AR and VR development in education during the last twelve years. By adopting text mining and topic analysis approaches, a total of 1536 articles were selected for further analysis. These articles were selected from Scopus database based on specific criteria where titles, keywords and abstracts were extracted for analysis by WordStat. Hypotheses were formulated based on the prior works of AR and VR in education and being processed and evaluated to unvield state of art of AR and VR literature development, applications, advantages and future directions. Results reveal that adoption of AR and VR in education have exponential growth during recent years where wearable device have gain the large portion of this development. Based on secondary data, results also reveal the gap in implementing and customizing these technologies quickly in educational institutions. As AR and VR technologies rapidly develop and become mature, more educational applications emerge in learning process. Researchers are recommended to keep in pace to discover gaps of AR and VR transition to education and create effective adaptability approaches to gain more benefits of these technologies development

Intelligence Edge Computing (IEC) is the key enabler of emerging 5G technologies networks and beyond. IEC is considered to be a promising backbone of future services and wireless communication systems in 5G integration. In addition, IEC enables various use cases and applications, including autonomous vehicles, augmented and virtual reality, big data analytic, and other customer-oriented services. Moreover, it is one of the 5G technologies that most enhanced market drivers in different fields such as customer service, healthcare, education methods, IoT in agriculture and energy sustainability. However, 5G technological improvements face many challenges such as traffic volume, privacy, security, digitization capabilities, and required latency. Therefore, 6G is considered to be promising technology for the future. To this end, compared to other surveys, this paper provides a comprehensive survey and an inclusive overview of Intelligence Edge Computing (IEC) technologies in 6G focusing on main up-to-date characteristics, challenges, potential use cases and market drivers. Furthermore, we summarize research efforts on IEC in 5G from 2014 to 2021, in which the integration of IEC and 5G technologies are highlighted. Finally, open research challenges and new future directions in IEC with 6G networks will be discussed
